Think about it. Butter packaging has remained largely unchallenged for decades. It’s either foil or waxed paper (how very 20th century) or it’s the familiar plastic tub. And yet both formats have their own irritations. With the former, it’s having to re-wrap the butter after use. With the latter, it’s those tricky, hard-to-reach corners.

The container looks like a small tub, but has a second bowl inside which you slide around to expose the butter.
