Can small print look good? Is it possible to make the legal bits look lovely? Proving that creativity can reach every nook and cranny, Russian beer brand Polevskaya Varnya has designed their latest labels with all the regulations incorporated into tree bark circles.
In Russia, alcohol labels have to include a set amount of information, which can often take up 50% of the space. But by making the text part of the design – rather than a clunky add-on – the brand has complied with labelling laws without compromising on the look.
Far from hiding this information, the design is likely to make more people read it. That’ll keep the lawyers quiet.
